Madhavi is a dedicated GP who graduated from the highly regarded Bangalore Medical College in India and migrated to Australia in 2007. Since then she has worked in various hospitals and general practices in the Western suburbs gaining wide exposure to Australia’s health system. As a GP, she enjoys the opportunities provided by this unique discipline to make a positive contribution to the community.
She practices comprehensive care for her patients combining her academic background in science as well as medicine attained during her training. Madhavi is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice and has special interests in general family medicine, women’s health including pregnancy care, fertility concerns, paediatrics, preventative health, sexual health, and travel health. She is trained to provide yellow fever vaccinations. She is accomplished in minor procedures including implanon insertion and removal, Mirena removal, wound management, iron infusions and skin biopsies. Madhavi is trained to provide PrEP to eligible patients.
When not doing her clinical work she likes to spend time in the garden and with her family, including her dog, Milo.
